Ficus Sycomore Tree That was 100 years of age when the Crusades began
We provide a large selection of figs that are ready to ship. These intriguing trees
meet the needs of a variety of purposes. We provide several of the top commercial figs as well as the best back yard figs available. In addition we provide some historically important varieties that include the sycomore fig tree. For example the sycomore fig tree shown to the right is reputed to be about 1000 years of age. The commercial varieties include
Black Mission, Kadota, and LSU gold. We have the Southern favorite Celeste, and Brunswick, and Texas Everbearing. The background photo is of a figplant that had a black mission name tag on it when I purchased it from our local farmers coop. Clearly it is not black mission. The figs are about their natural size if you are using a 21 inch monitor. The coop has not been very successful in identifying it. The figs are sweet and have a good flavor. The large fig below this text is nearly ripe. They remain about the size
of the fig in the upper left until they began to ripen.
